The garden will be open from time to time on fine days throughout the year. These days are very weather dependent and notice may be short. There will generally be no entrance charge and although no formal refreshments will be served, tea and coffee is usually available. Guide Dogs Only.


Informal Garden openings as follows in 2018:


Dates will appear here, as and when we decide to open the gardens.  This may be at short notice, due mainly to doubts over the weather.  Sunny Sunday afternoons are often chosen.  There will always be an A-board sign outside the gate on these occasions.

April 21st  Saturday.

We will open today from 1pm to 5pm. The garden is not yet up to the standard we hope it will be in a few weeks when we open for the National Gardens Scheme.  On the other hand, admission today is free!  Please remember, NO DOGS, and no unaccompanied children.  Children with their parents are very welcome of course.

May 20th (Sunday) 

 This looks like being another fine day.  We will open up from 1pm to 5pm.  No charges today.  Usual rules - guide dogs only; well behaved children with their parents are welcome.  May be able to rustle up some tea or coffee. 

June 17th (Sunday)

The day has brightened up now, so we will open from 1pm to 5pm.  No charges. Supervised children welcome.  Guide dogs only

July 1st (Sunday)

Another hot dry day.  The garden is drying up in places of course, the lawns especially. We will open from 1pm to 5pm. No charges. Supervised children welcome. Guide dogs only
